Day 1: Road transfer from Nairobi to Maasai Mara through the rift valley area

Enjoy a hefty breakfast early morning and you will exit Nairobi for Maasai Mara National Reserve. Departure time will be at 8:00am or earlier depending on your agreement with the driver guide. Embark on the picturesque drive via the Great Rift Valley area to Masai Mara, about 6 hours’ drive.

En-route to Maasai Mara, expect to have a short break for you to enjoy the rift valley’s breathtaking views. From here, proceed to the reserve to check in at the lodge for relaxation, and have lunch break. At around 3:30pm, embark on the afternoon game drive through the Maasai Mara National Reserve.

The afternoon game drive through the Mara Reserve comes with astonishing sightings of fauna including lions, cheetahs, leopards, wildebeest, elephants, rhinos, zebras, and more. Later, you will be dropped off to the lodge once again and spend the rest of the evening chilling and then retire for the night.

Today’s guided wildlife safari includes a long day search for the big game; cape buffaloes, rhinos, elephants, leopards, lions plus other mammals such as zebras, giraffes, wildebeest, and birds, etc. In the afternoon, you will have a break for you to enjoy a delicious bush lunch meal.

After lunch, continue with the afternoon wildlife viewing session with an experienced guide. Before getting back to the lodge for relaxation, you may pay a visit to the Maasai Village. The Maasai Village tour allows you to interact with the Maasai warriors in their community, explore their unique traditions and cultures.
