Murchison Falls National Park

Murchison Falls National Park is Uganda's largest and oldest national park. It is famous for the powerful Murchison Falls, where the Nile River squeezes through a narrow gorge before plunging down. The park is home to elephants, lions, buffaloes, giraffes, crocodiles, antelopes, and many bird species. Visitors can enjoy game drives, boat cruises, birdwatching, and chimpanzee tracking in nearby forests.

Kibale National Park

Known as the “Primate Capital of the World,” Kibale National Park is home to 13 species of primates, including a large population of chimpanzees. The park is one of the best places in Africa for chimpanzee tracking and also offers birdwatching and nature walks.

Queen Elizabeth National Park

Queen Elizabeth National Park is one of Uganda's most visited parks. It is famous for its tree-climbing lions in the Ishasha sector and supports a wide variety of wildlife, including elephants, buffaloes, leopards, hippos, crocodiles, and antelopes.

Kidepo Valley National Park

Located in northeastern Uganda, Kidepo Valley National Park is known for its remote wilderness, beautiful landscapes, and unique wildlife. Visitors may see zebras, giraffes, cheetahs, ostriches, kudus, and many other animals.

Pian Upe Wildlife Reserve

Pian Upe Wildlife Reserve is one of Uganda's largest protected areas and offers a true wilderness experience. It is home to wildlife such as cheetahs, zebras, giraffes, antelopes, leopards, and many bird species.

The mountains feature glaciers, rivers, waterfalls, forests, and unique wildlife. Hiking and mountain climbing are the main activities, with treks ranging from several days to over a week.

The Source of the Nile

The Source of the Nile in Jinja is one of Uganda's most famous attractions. It is a popular destination for adventure activities such as white-water rafting, kayaking, boat rides, bungee jumping, quad biking, and jet boating.

Waterfalls

Uganda has many beautiful waterfalls across the country. Some of the most popular include Sipi Falls, Murchison Falls, Karuma Falls, Itanda Falls, Ssezibwa Falls, and Aruu Falls. These scenic locations are ideal for sightseeing, hiking, and photography.
